Robert Guest

Chairman

In 2001, Robert Guest became a Tax Partner of PwC, Gibraltar and Director of Abacus. Abacus remained a member firm of PwC until July 2012, when it chose to become independent. Robert was then appointment Chairman of Abacus in 2012, he remains in the same role today.

Christopher Pitaluga

CEO

Christopher joined PwC in 1995 from a major bank trust company and became a Tax Partner in 2001 in conjunction with his role as MD of Abacus which, at the time, was a PwC member firm. In July 2012, Abacus chose to become independent and Chris was appointed CEO.

Kevin Bastone

COO

With 20 years international banking experience, Kevin joined Abacus in 2013 to lead a small focused team providing Family Office services to ultra-high net worth individuals.

Kevin’s role expanded in April 2014 when he was appointed to the role of Chief Operations Officer, with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm. He was subsequently appointed a director of the firm in June 2015.

Adrian Mansfield

Director

Adrian joined Abacus as a Senior Manager in June 2010 and was appointed Director of Abacus in September 2014.

Adrian currently has the overall responsibility for a broad portfolio within Abacus, mainly high net worth individuals with a variety of trust and corporate structures and his role typically includes organising and managing the day to day administration of trusts and companies, leasing with clients and their advisers, as well as the Abacus Board in respect of strategic and management issues.

Initially, Adrian embarked on a banking career whilst working for a major Dutch bank for over 15 years, where he also gained extensive experience in private banking services, operations, risk management and compliance.

In 2006, he obtained a Masters in Enterprise Management and later became a Member of the Chartered Institute of Directors and Chartered Management Institute. Just before joining the firm, Adrian was a director of another respected company management firm, where he was responsible for the provision of private client services.

Michael Mahtani

Director

Michael joined Abacus in 2006 and was promoted to Senior Manager in 2011. In July 2016, Michael was appointed Director of Abacus

Michael currently has overall responsibility for the advice, establishment and administration of personal and corporate structures.

FULL PROFILE

Michael has worked with high net worth clients and multinational corporations in the field of trust and company administration. In particular he has been closely involved in promoting and developing the firm’s services in the US, together with Robert Guest, Chairman, and has worked on numerous complex structures involving, inter alia, US and other corporations world-wide.

In 1997, Michael, was awarded a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Business with Economics from the University of Hertfordshire.

Michael became a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 2011 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
